Outrage As Tinubu Links Climate Change To ‘Preventing Church Rat From Eating Poisoned Holy Communion’ [Video]

The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu has stirred controversy on social media after saying climate change is a question of how to prevent a church rat from eating a poisoned holy communion.

Tinubu Speaks On How To Tackle Climate Change

While taking questions from moderators at Arewa joint committee interactive session in Kaduna State on Monday, the APC presidential candidate was asked how he intends to tackle climate change if he becomes president.

But the Lagos former governor likened climate change to “preventing church rats from eating poisoned holy communion”, arguing that if the West doesn’t guarantee Nigeria’s finances, it will not implement policies on climate change.

“If the West does not guarantee our finances, we will not comply with their climate change,” Tinubu was heard saying in a video.
