Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has appointed a skit maker, Abdulgafar Ahmed Abiola, popularly known as “Cute Abiola” as Special Assistant on Creative Industries.
In a statement released on Friday, November 4, the chief press secretary to the governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, said the appointment takes effect immediately.
Governor AbdulRazaq also appointed Mr. Jerry Kolo as Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations and Ogundele Joseph Olabisi as Special Assistant on Community Engagement.
The new governor’s aide, Cute Abiola is a household name in the fast growing skit industry and well known for his comedy skits with the identity of Lawyer Kunle.
Mr. Kolo, an indigene of Patigi local government area, was until his appointment the chairman of the Kwara North Development Council (KWANDCO).
KanyiDaily recalls that Cute Abiola recently resigned from the Nigerian Navy to concentrate on his comic business after being punished for violating the armed forces’ social media policy.
