The vice-presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kashim Shettima has referred to the Labour Party (LP) flagbearer, Peter Obi, as a comedy character, Giringori.
The former Borno State governor spoke on Thursday in Abuja at an event organised by APC Professionals Forum with the theme: “Dissecting the Asiwaju Manifesto”
In a viral video, Shettima described Obi as Giringori, a character in the now-rested TV series, New Masquerade, played by veteran actor James Iroha, who died in 2012.
Shettima said the former Anambra governor whose real name is ‘ Peter Gregory Obi’, has nothing to offer apart from dubious statistics.
“Peter “Gringori” Obi is my friend but “Gringori” has absolutely nothing to offer apart from dubious statistics. So, the choice before us, there is a difference between daylight and darkness,” he said.
KanyiDaily recalls that Kashim Shettima had claimed that Peter Obi can only be president in Igbo land because has no leadership ideology or experience to handle a big nation like Nigeria.
