In a post shared on his Instagram page, Lecrae said a recent DNA test carried out shows his ancestors came from Nigeria.
He added that he experienced love and kindness like no other while visiting Nigeria.
“First time in Nigeria. My DNA test confirms this is one of the countries my ancestors were brought from. I have experienced love like none other. Care, kindness, grace, and love.
I came here as LECRAE. But my Nigerian name is Adewale Obinna,” he wrote.
KanyiDaily recalls that the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle also discovered that she’s partly a Nigerian after taking a genealogy test to learn more about her ancestry.
