A Nigerian woman has come under heavy fire on social media over her comment while congratulating a young content creator, Chinedu Akuwudike, also known as Special Nedu.

On Monday night, Special Nedu won the ‘Best Comedy Kid’ at the Humour Awards 2022.

A mum-of-two reacted to his win by saying she is waiting for him to “ripe”.

Her tweet angered many Nigerians who pointed out that there would have been a public outcry if a man had said that about a girl.

The woman deleted the offensive tweet and shared another post where she bragged about how much her followers grew because of her insensitive tweet.

KanyiDaily had also reported how police rescued a 22-year-old man, Abba Ahmed, who threatened to commit suicide if Hanan, the daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari, did not marry him.
