Two Things Ademola Adeleke Failed To Do When He Won – Academic, Ugo Kelechi

A Nigerian academic, Ugo Kelechi has revealed two things he claimed Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State failed to do after he won the governorship poll of the state on July 16 Osun governorship poll.

Academic, Ugo Kelechi Reacts To Tribunal Sacking Ademola Adeleke As Osun Governor

Ugo Kelechi said after the Osun State Election Petition Tribunal sacked Ademola Adeleke on Friday.

Kanyi Daily earlier reported that the tribunal sacked Ademola Adeleke as the duly elected governor of the state on Friday.

The tribunal in a split document of two to one declared that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), should withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to Ademola Adeleke and issue the same to former Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

The tribunal hearing the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s Oyetola’s petition against the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Ademola Adeleke annulled the result of the governorship poll.

Taking to his Twitter handle to react to the judgement, Ugo Kelechi said Ademola Adeleke should partner with Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and his Oyo State counterpart, Seyi Makinde, arguing that the duo has court links.

The other thing the governor should have done, according to him, was to have had his supporters holding weekly street rallies, saying that puts pressure on “any corrupt system.”

Ademola Adeleke, he noted, did not do any of those things.

He wrote, “Two things Adeleke should have done immediately after winning. He failed to do any.

“Partner with Wike & Makinde. They have Court links. Leave Atiku alone.

“Your supporters should have been holding weekly street rallies. It puts pressure on any corrupt system.

“He did none.”

In other news, some Nigerians on Twitter have reacted to the sacking of Governor Ademola Adeleke by the state Election Petition Tribunal on Friday.

Most of them argued that Ademola Adeleke remains governor of the state despite the tribunal judgement.

They also expressed optimism that Ademola Adeleke will be victorious at the appeal court and even up to Supreme Court.
