UPDATE: Body Of Abducted Son Of Murdered CBN Staff, Wife Recovered In Abeokuta

A slain couple, Kehinde and Bukola Fatinoye, have lost their son after he was kidnapped at their residence at the Ibara area of Abeokuta, Ogun State.

KanyiDaily had reported how suspected arsonists trailed the couple to their private residence where they set them ablaze before kidnapping their son and housemaid.

The tragic incident happened on Sunday morning, January 1, 2023, shortly after the family returned from church where they attended rhe New Year crossover service.

The man, Kehinde, is a staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), while his wife, Bukola, before her death, worked with the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.

The couple were burnt beyond recognition with their remains later packed by policemen and health officials who visited the scene.

A sympathiser told Punch that the deceased couple were just recovering from the lost of their second son last July.

The source said, “Fatinoye family as a whole has been totally wiped out. The first son was also taken away; dead or alive, we don’t know. They were just recovering from the loss of their second son in July 2022.”

On Tuesday, the body of the abducted only child of the slain couple was found.

A very reliable source told CKN News that the son and the young relative (not a house boy) abducted were dumped into the river, while the relative survived, their surviving child died.

It was gathered that the young man who survived is helping the Police in their investigation

The charred bodies of the couple and their son is expected to be buried today.
