American professional wrestling star, Jamin Pugh popularly known as Jay Briscoe, is dead.
Briscoe, a professional wrestler with Ring of Honor, died aged 38.
His death was announced by the Ring of Honor owner, Tony Khan in the early hours of Wednesday on his official Twitter handle.
He said, “Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH for over 20 years, from the first show until today. Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, reigning as champions to this day.
“We’ll do whatever we can to support his family. Rest In Peace Jamin.”
The thirteen-time ROH Tag Team Champion lost his life in a car accident – collision.
According to reports, the incident happened in Laurel, Maryland. According to Delaware State Police, two people died Tuesday evening in a deadly automobile collision in Laurel. Additional information regarding Jay Briscoe’s death was given by Ringside News.
The report stated that a woman in another car also passed away at the same time. According to the emergency medical services log that the outlet was able to access, his daughter was also reportedly involved in the car crash.
Jay Briscoe was a certified Ring of Honor Hall of Famer.
He and his brother, Mark Briscoe held the ROH World Tag Team Championship 13 times.
