The 2023 general election comes up on Saturday, February 25th with three major presidential contenders for Aso Rock’s top job.

The aspirants include Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC,) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).

Shehu Sani in a tweet on his official handle informed Nigerians that they have the “historic opportunity” to renew what he called “slavery or freedom.”

Shehu Sani wrote, “One week from now, your prevailing bondage will expire.
You will have the historic opportunity to renew your slavery or subscribe to freedom.”

The 2023 general election is considered by many observers as the poll Nigerians ought to get right, considering the numerous challenges the country has been battling with supposedly caused by a dearth of good leadership.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that ten states have called on the Supreme Court to declare President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive reintroducing the old N200 notes and declaring old N500 and N1,000 notes as unconstitutional.

Buhari had last Thursday, directed the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to recirculate only the old N200 notes.
