“You Behave Like Fraudster” – Falz, Vector Mock INEC Chairman In New Song “Mr Yakubu” [Video]

Nigerian rappers, Falz and Vector, have mocked the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, over the 2023 elections.

Yakubu has been facing criticism since the conclusion of the 2023 general elections due to some purported electoral malpractice, violence, and lack of transparency.

In their new song titled ‘Mr Yakubu’, Falz and Vector slammed the INEC Chairman for his electoral “inadequacies”, as they described him as a fraudster.

The rappers referenced the failed promise made by the INEC  to transmit the results of the elections in real-time via its result viewing portal, known as IReV portal.

They also rapped about the reports of violence, voter intimidation, logistics problems, ballot box snatching, and other incidents that marred the 2023 general election.

“Mr Yakubu! Ę ma ń se bi fraudster (you behave like a fraudster)/ you don’t want to prosper / Come and collect oscar/ 300 billion te gbà lówó ìjoba, kí le fi se ná sir (what did you do with the 300 billion received from the government),” Falz rapped in the first verse of the song.

KanyiDaily recalls that Falz had also slammed Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu over his victory, noting that he wasn’t re-elected but had selected himself.
