The interim order was granted by the judge following an ex-parte motion presented to the court by Godwin Emefiele himself.
The court’s decision is based on the recognition of the applicant’s fundamental rights while in the custody of the DSS.
The case has been adjourned until June 20, 2023, when the substantive suit will commence.
Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported earlier that President Tinubu suspended Godwin Emefiele on June 9, after which he was taken into custody by the DSS on June 10.
