This comes after President Bola Tinubu approved Bawa’s indefinite suspension, which aims “to allow for proper investigation into his conduct while in office”.
A statement signed by the agency’s Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunanya, confirmed that Bawa complied with the invitation and arrived a few hours ago.
Afunanya said the purpose of the invitation is to conduct investigative activities concerning him.
The statement reads, “The Department of State Services (DSS) has invited Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
“Bawa arrived a few hours ago. The invitation relates to some investigative activities concerning him.”
In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that Tinubu a few days ago, suspended the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele from office.
