A former presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad has responded to the House of Representatives members who accused the Nigeria Air project of being a fraud.

KanyiDaily recalls that the House of Representatives had declared the alleged inauguration of Nigeria Air during the final days of former President Muhammadu Buhari‘s administration as a fraudulent act.

Nnolim Nnaji, the Chairman of the House Committee on Aviation, labeled the purported launch of Nigeria Air as a fraud after key participants involved in the agreement between the Federal Government and Ethiopian Airlines denied any knowledge of such a launch.

Reacting to the claim via his Twitter page, Bashir Ahmad insisted that Nigeria Air is not a fraudulent endeavor and highlighted the significant progress made by the Aviation Ministry towards its realization.

Buhari’s aide mentioned that the branding has been unveiled, partnerships and agreements have been signed, operational certificates have been issued, and operational offices have been established.

He wrote, “NigeriaAir is NOT a fraud, the Aviation Ministry has made a significant progress towards its realization. Branding unveiled, partnerships and agreements signed, most of the operational certificates issued, and operational offices opened. NigeriaAir will fly to make Nigeria proud.”
