Aminat, who hails from Edo State was recently announced as the best law graduating student during the 26th convocation and the 40th anniversary of the institution.
In a tweet on his official handle, Obaseki announced automatic employment for Aminat into the state’s public service and a full scholarship for one year in the Nigerian Law School.
According to the governor, Aminat will receive an upkeep allowance equivalent to the salary of a State Counsel, which is about N200,000.
He also assured that “As a government, we will continue to recognise excellence and reward our sons and daughters who bring pride to the state.”
Recall that last week, the Lagos governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, rewarded Aminat with a sum of N10 million at the convocation ceremony.
Sanwo-Olu announced a personal donation of N5 million and another N5 million from the Lagos State government for Yusuf who set a 40-year-old record at LASU.
Her feat did not go unnoticed as a Lagos monarch, the Oniba of Iba Kingdom, Oba Sulaimon Adeshina Raji gave her N2 million and promised her full sponsorship through Law School.
The Vice Chancellor of LASU, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, had also said last week that Yusuf will be rewarded with a N500,000 cash prize.
In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that Former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani has asked President Bola Tinubu to go ahead and probe the administration of his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari.
Sani said Tinubu should ignore Buhari and go ahead with probing the past government and recover looted funds.
