Argentina legend, Lionel Messi is set to make his debut for American football club, Inter Miami and the tickets for the match have been listed for $20,000.

According to Mail Online, the tickets to watch Lionel Messi’s potential debut for Inter Miami have been listed for $20,000 as prices continue to skyrocket.

In response to the overwhelming demand, Inter Miami’s management is taking steps to add an additional 3,000 seats to their home stadium.

It was gathered that the cheapest resale price for Inter Miami’s Leagues Cup match against Cruz Azul on July 21, has experienced a staggering surge of 1,034 percent.

At the beginning of the week, ticket prices on StubHub ranged from $810 to an astonishing $20,701.

To accommodate fans who wants to see Messi in action, Inter Miami will expand the capacity of DRV PNK Stadium by an additional 3,000 seats by August, raising the total capacity to 22,000.

The average resale ticket prices for Inter Miami’s away games have also witnessed a remarkable surge of 1,000 percent, providing a significant profit boost for other MLS teams, as reported by The Miami Herald.

Online searches for “Inter Miami tickets” and “Inter Miami season tickets” have spiked by 13,057 percent and 1,215 percent respectively worldwide, compared to average levels over the past five years, according to Google Trends data via jeffbet.com.

The signing of Lionel Messi has propelled searches for Inter Miami to an all-time high in the club’s history, with over 150,000 searches recorded in June alone.

Furthermore, searches for “MLS” have reached a five-year peak, soaring by 322 percent in the last 30 days following the announcement of Messi’s signing.

KanyiDaily had reported how Lionel Messi rejected a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian team, Al-Hilal, for the Inter Miami deal which includes collaborations with renowned brands such as Adidas and Apple.
