Amuta clocked 70 years of age on Monday, July 24th.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, Obi paid tribute to the former University of Port Harcourt lecturer and described him as “an imperator of the Nigerian journalistic landscape, and one of Nigeria’s best media executives.”
According to Obi, “Dr. Chidi Amuta is an extraordinary scholar, journalist, social crusader, and patriot whose interests and consistent interventions in the Nigerian public space span a very wide spectrum.
“He has brought his cerebral ideas to bear on almost everything that conduces to national development.”
The former Anambra governor wished the Amuta many more blissful years of committed engagements with responsible journalism and the best interests of the Nigerian state and people.
