The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has scheduled the judgment for the petitions challenging the election of President Bola Tinubu.
The Registrar of the Court of Appeal made this announcement, confirming that the judgment will be delivered on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
These petitions were filed by presidential candidates Abubakar Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and Princess ChiChi Ojei of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
Each petitioner is seeking the nullification of the disputed February 25 election, claiming victory.
The Registrar also emphasized that strict security measures have been put in place, with only invited members of political parties and the general public allowed in the courtroom to prevent overcrowding and security breaches.
Additionally, the Registrar noted that election tribunals in 25 states are expected to deliver judgments on governorship, National Assembly, and state assembly election petitions.
