BBNaija All Stars: “People Voted For Me Because They Love Me, Not Out Of Pity” – Ilebaye

BBNaija All Stars winner, Ilebaye Odiniya has addressed the misconception surrounding her victory, clarifying that it was not solely based on pity votes due to her perceived fragility.

KanyiDaily had reported how Ilebaye won the BBNaija All Stars N120m grand prize on Sunday night, October 1, after weeks of intense competition, surpassing strong contenders like Mercy Eke, Ceec, Adekunle, Pere Egbi, and Cross Okonkwo.

While in the BBNaija house, there were speculations among some housemates that Ilebaye was receiving sympathy and pity votes because of her younger age and smaller stature compared to others. Some believed her perceived vulnerability played a role in her victory.

But during an interview with Lagos Talks 91.3 radio, the 22-year-old reality star claimed that her triumph was a result of genuine love from viewers and impeccable timing.

Ilebaye Odiniya refuted these claims when the radio host asked if her support was because she appeared fragile compared to the older, bigger, and stronger contestants.

The reality star stated that she believed the support stemmed from genuine love from the viewers who felt she deserved to win, emphasizing that it was her time to shine.

“Do you think you were supported because you were fragile while everyone else was older, bigger, and stronger than you?” the radio host asked.

Ilebaye responded; “To me, I feel it’s because they have this love for me; not because I am the underdog. They have this genuine love for me, and they know I should be the one to win the money, and it’s my time.”

KanyiDaily recalls that Ilebaye Odiniya was recently criticized for soliciting funds after winning N120 million from the just concluded BBNaija reality show.
