The state counsel, O. Akinde, disclosed this known during the ongoing inquest on Wednesday at the Lagos Coroner Court in Ikorodu.
Akinde told Coroner Magistrate Adetayo Shotobi that the external body autopsy had been completed, prompting the necessity for the internal toxicology test.
“The toxicology test, which has to do with the internal body, is being done in the US,” he said.
This revelation followed the persistence of David Fadimu’s counsel, representing the deceased’s father, seeking explanations for the delay in receiving the test results.
Meanwhile, Coroner Magistrate Shotobi sought clarification on the decision to engage a foreign toxicologist instead of utilizing available toxicology laboratories in Nigeria.
KanyiDaily recalls that Lagos State Police Command has also revealed why Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, refused to take his corpse for burial.
