Esohe had reportedly gone there to help a friend decorate a venue for a burial ceremony.
After completing the task, she was said to have encountered a group of unknown individuals.
What started as an argument soon turned into a physical attack.

Her brother, who spoke about the incident, described the desperate attempts made to keep her alive.
He said, “It was a machete cut. After about 30 minutes, I even donated two pints of blood for her.”
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Esohe Aigbe did not survive.
Her remains have since been deposited at the mortuary.
