Godwin Emefiele fulfilled the N300 million bail requirement, and his release warrant was signed by vacation judge Justice Othman Musa on December 22.
In November, Justice Hamza Muazu of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja, granted Emefiele bail in the sum of N300 million.
The judge also ruled that the former CBN governor must produce two sureties in like sum who would have certificates of occupancy and titles of properties within the Maitama district in Abuja.
Emefiele was also required to deposit all his travel documents with the court registrar and stay within the Abuja Municipal Council.
Emefiele had been remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre until he met the bail conditions, following charges brought against him by the federal government for alleged corrupt practices during his tenure.
This development occurred four months after the Federal High Court in Lagos granted him bail in the sum of N20 million.
KanyiDaily recalls that in June, President Bola Tinubu ordered the suspension of Godwin Emefiele from office as the CBN Governor.
Emefiele was immediately arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) after being handed a suspension by President Tinubu.
