“He’s A Gentleman” – Regina Askia Throws Weight Behind Emeka Ike Amid Feud With Ex-Wife

Nollywood actress, Regina Askia has shared her perspective on the ongoing dispute between her colleague, Emeka Ike, and his ex-wife, Suzanne Emma.

Emeka Ike has recently been in the public spotlight as he revisited the issues surrounding his failed marriage and divorce from Suzanne Emma in 2017.

The actor claimed that Emma caused him substantial financial losses and denied him access to his four children. Despite these allegations, he vehemently denied ever resorting to violence against his former wife.

In her response, Suzanne Emma disclosed that she endured physical abuse during their 16-year-old marriage and referred to Emeka Ike as “a drug addict.”

Emma granted the interview with their son, Micheal Ike, who expressed deep hatred towards his father, recounting harsh things allegedly said to him in a voice note by Emeka Ike.

This revelation has sparked debates on social media, with users expressing divided opinions in their support for the former couple.

In a conversation with media personality, Daddy Freeze, OAP Regina Askia shared her thoughts on the matter while throwing her weight behind Emeka Ike.

She acknowledged the potential for people to change but emphasized that during their collaboration, she perceived Emeka Ike as a gentleman without any evident violent tendencies.

The 56-year-old US-based family nurse practitioner expressed her hope for both parties to apologize and reconcile in difficult family situations.

Regina highlighted the emotional aspect and the value placed on life, noting that she has been away for too long from Nigeria to fully grasp the current dynamics.

“You have to also take into consideration what that man is going through. I am not supporting violence in any way, but you have to consider what that man is going through for real,” she said.

“I used to work with Emeka Ike. I have never met his wife. But I know family dynamics that can push you to do something like that. And there is no deeper hurt than people you have sacrificed your life, your savings, everything for to turn on you.

“It is sad. I hope that they find a way to make it up to each other. Maybe apologise to each other – father and son – and pull through.

“I think we are more emotionally present. And we value life. I think in Nigeria. I have been away for too long.

“He is a gentleman. I like that dude. He is a gentleman. I have never seen any type of violence with him. But that does not mean people do not change.

“I was not there. I do not know what happened between him and his wife, between him and his son. And if that audio is anything to go by then it is a very sad situation.

“But from what I have seen, I worked with him once or twice, I have not seen any type of, even though there were rumours of it, I have not seen him actively fighting anybody.”

KanyiDaily recalls that actor, Yul Edochie had also drummed support for Emeka Ike amidst his public feud with Suzanne Emma, emphasizing that nobody has a perfect home.
