It was gathered that the assailants struck in front of Musa Ille’s residence on Monday night, fatally shooting him.
The PDP Chairman in the local government, Garba Garewa confirmed the incident to Channels Television on Tuesday, attributing Ille’s death to banditry.
“We are suspecting his killers to be bandits, they entered his house yesterday (Monday) and shot him,” Garewa stated.
A local resident, Abubakar Tsafe, recounted that the gunmen lured Ille outside by asking him to inspect something behind his house, only to fatally ambush him.
As of the time of filing this report, the police authorities in the state have not issued any statement regarding the incident.
