KanyiDaily published a video showing the moment Tinubu missed his step and fell while walking into a vehicle that would convey him for a parade at Eagle Square on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, to mark Democracy Day.
Tinubu, who wore a white native attire popularly known as agbada and his signature cap, struggled to save himself by holding on to the vehicle, but landed on the ground while his aides rushed to support him back to his feet.
Reacting to the development via his X page, Atiku expressed his concern and sent a message of sympathy to President Tinubu, saying, “I do hope that all is well with him.”
“I sincerely sympathise with President Bola Tinubu over this unfortunate incident as he was set to review the parade on Democracy Day. I do hope that all is well with him,” he wrote.
However, many social media users interpreted Atiku’s statement as mocking President Tinubu, questioning the sincerity of his sympathy.
KanyiDaily recalls that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu also addressed Nigerians this morning to celebrate ”Democracy Day”.
