Super Falcons Midfielder, Ngozi Okobi Welcomes First Child With Husband In Canada

Super Falcons midfielder Ngozi Okobi and her husband, Ahmed Okeoghene, have welcomed their first child in Canada.

Ngozi Okobi, who plays for Spanish club Levante Las Planas, shared via her Instagram page on Tuesday, September 17.

She wrote, “Congratulations to me. #godbepraised #iamamother #newmom. I am in my new season #NSPPD,” along with photos of her baby bump.

Before making the announcement, Okobi had kept her pregnancy private, only occasionally sharing workout videos and casual posts.

The couple tied the knot on December 9, 2017, in Delta State, and Okobi continued her football career for nearly seven years before becoming a mother.

Okobi has represented Nigeria in several major tournaments, including the 2010 U-17 Women’s World Cup, the 2010 and 2012 WAFCON, and the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cups.

She missed the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup after being left out of the squad by former coach Randy Waldrum and hasn’t been recalled to the national team since.

KanyiDaily recalls that Nigerian singer, Portable and his fourth baby mama, Ashabi Simple, also welcomed their second child together.
