#DecemberIssaVybe: FirstBank Ushers in Festive Cheer with Kenny Blaq’s ‘Reckless’ Musicomedy Festival

December is here, and with it comes a season of celebration, creativity, and memorable moments in Nigeria. As the country comes alive with festive lights, music, and performances, FirstBank has once again launched its highly anticipated DecemberIssaVybe campaign, an initiative under its First@arts program.

This year’s festivities began on Saturday, December 13, with a dazzling start at Onikan Stadium in Lagos, where the bank sponsored Kenny Blaq’s Reckless Musicomedy Festival. This unique event brought together comedy, music, and dance for an unforgettable night of entertainment, featuring performances by DJ Neptune, Aproko, MC Monica, OvyGodwin, and more.

Through engaging social media campaigns, FirstBank provided free tickets to young Nigerians and entertainment lovers, ensuring widespread access to the highly sought-after event.

The Reckless Musicomedy Festival is a celebration of Africa’s rich and dynamic entertainment culture, merging the realms of music and comedy. Headliner Kenny Blaq, known for his signature blend of humor and music, captivated the audience with his vibrant energy and creative performances.

“Music and comedy have always been intertwined for me,” said Kenny Blaq ahead of the event. “I aimed to create an event that highlights both in a unique way. This festival encourages people to embrace boldness and creativity while having fun.”

The festival also provided a platform for emerging talents to shine, with new voices receiving enthusiastic applause from the crowd.

FirstBank, a cornerstone of Nigeria’s financial industry for over 130 years, continues to deepen its ties with the community through initiatives like First@arts. Olayinka Ijabiyi, Acting Group Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications at FirstBank, emphasized the bank’s commitment to creating a “December to Remember.”

““FirstBank is facilitating memorable homecoming experiences this December for gatherings such as weddings, family reunions, and festivals.”

With premium VIP tickets valued between N15,000 and N50,000, the #DecemberIssaVybe and #FirstBankIssaVybe campaigns are set to reward customers with exclusive access to Lagos’s most exciting events.

Attendees at Kenny Blaq’s event also enjoyed the festive atmosphere at FirstBank’s interactive booth, where trivia games, mementos, and photo opportunities added to the excitement.
