KanyiDaily recalls that 2face Idibia recently announced the end of his marriage to Annie, leading to mixed reactions on social media.
Taking to her Instagram story, Iyabo Ojo emphasized the importance of prioritizing their children’s well-being, even as their relationship ends.
The actress advised the couple not to abandon each other in their darkest times, even if separation is inevitable.
Iyabo expressed confidence that Annie would find the strength to focus on her children and encouraged her to stay strong, assuring her that the challenges she is facing will eventually pass.
Addressing 2face directly, Iyabo acknowledged her admiration for him but criticized the timing of his announcement.
She accused him of worsening an already difficult situation for Annie, who she said is vulnerable, and labeled his actions as lacking empathy.
Iyabo wrote: “A heartfelt reminder to couples: when love fades, prioritize your children’s well-being. As parents, sacrifices are essential. Never abandon loved ones in their darkest moments, even if separation or divorce is inevitable.
“Let’s emphasize empathy and our children’s mental health. Sensitive issues shouldn’t be publicly aired; social media sometimes disregards the well-being of those involved.
“2baba, I adore you both, but this timing was off. Adding fuel to the fire, burning the mother of your kids who’s already vulnerable is so unempathetic. I’m disappointed.
“May you both find inner strength to prioritize your children’s needs. Annie, this storm will pass. Stay strong”.
KanyiDaily recalls that Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa also criticized 2face Idibia for how he handled the announcement of his separation from his wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia.
