Goodhair CEO, Chioma Ikokwu has accused Lagos State government officials of attempting to assault her during the demolition of a building housing her hair business and restaurant in Lekki.
In a video shared on Instagram, Chioma explained that police officers arrived at her shop to carry out the demolition on Thursday. She stated that neither she nor her staff resisted the officers after learning the purpose of their visit.
During the incident, a policeman in uniform was caught on camera threatening to slap Chioma for recording the events. However, a group of women intervened, preventing any physical assault from occurring.
Chioma also alleged that while she and her team were still moving their belongings, the officials reportedly ordered them to vacate the premises immediately in order to steal building materials left on the property.
The hair vendor shared videos showing security personnel accompanying the government team, assaulting her staff, and attempting to seize her phone while she filmed the incident.
