Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has criticized Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, over his 2025 prophecies.
During the church’s Crossover Service in Shimawa, Ogun State, Pastor Adeboye shared several prophesies about 2025, describing it as a year that would leave a lasting impact on many.
The cleric also warned that some Nigerians might face challenges so severe they might not survive.
“Daddy said the year 2025 will be a landmark year, a year nobody will ever forget. The day someone has been waiting for will arrive this year.
“The wind that started blowing last year will continue to blow this year, but stronger.
“Earthly helpers will be replaced by heavenly helpers this year. Mockers will be louder and more aggressive, but unfortunately, many of them will not survive the year.
“It’s unfortunate because God does not want the death of a sinner but for them to repent. But some people have made up their minds not to repent.
“Daddy says some towns and villages will shout victory at last,” Adeboye prophesied.
Portable, however, took issue with the predictions, sharing a fiery video online where he labeled the prophecy as false and fear-inducing.
The singer argued that such prophesies do more harm than good and emphasized that the gloomy predictions would not affect him or his family.
He declared that 2025 would be a year of blessings, prosperity, and divine favor for his household, challenging the narrative put forth by the respected cleric.
