It was gathered that the encounter happened in Douala when Samuel Eto’o was leaving an event.
In a viral video, a crowd of fans could be seen outside, waiting to greet the footballer and snap photos.
While exchanging greetings, a security guard called out Eto’o’s name.
Eto’o initially waved back and began to walk away, but then he paused, recognizing the familiar face.
“Ah, Bobo!” Eto’o exclaimed warmly as the two shook hands and shared a hug.
Speaking to those around him, Eto’o said, “He was my colleague, I played with him.”
After briefly checking his watch, Eto’o spoke to the security guard in their native language before continuing on his way.
KanyiDaily had reported how Samuel Eto’o apologized for attacking a Youtuber, Said Mamouni, outside a world cup stadium in Qatar.
