KanyiDaily recalls that the teenager nearly lost her life in October 2024 when a post on social media spread claims that she had poisoned five people.

Despite not being present when the tragedy occurred, Aisha was attacked upon her return to the community. She was tied up, doused with petrol, and was moments away from being set on fire before authorities intervened.

She was later arrested and charged in court, but human rights activists stepped in, leading to a proper investigation.

It was eventually confirmed that the victims—four young men and one woman—died from inhaling generator fumes, not from poisoning.

Speaking after her exoneration, Aisha Suleiman said she never cooked pepper soup for anyone, stressing that she has been vindicated.

She explained that tensions began after she broke up with her late boyfriend, whose father later forbade her from visiting their home.

On the day of the incident, Aisha said she was in Iyakpi, while the deaths occurred in Afashio.

Following her vindication, many are now demanding that the person who spread the false accusation face legal consequences.
