Tems earned the honor with her song “Love Me JeJe”, surpassing strong competition from “Tomorrow” by Yemi Alade, “MMS” by Asake featuring Wizkid, “Sensational” by Chris Brown featuring Davido and Lojay, and “Higher” by Burna Boy.

The song, featured on her debut album “Born in the Wild”, made Tems the second artist to ever win in this category, which was introduced in 2024.

This marks Tems’ second Grammy win. She was nominated in three categories this year, bringing her career total to eight nominations.
