The Chairman of the Cubana Group of Companies revealed his intention while speaking in Abakaliki on Tuesday after meeting with Governor Francis Nwifuru,l.
The businessman explained that his decision to invest in Ebonyi state was influenced by its business-friendly environment.
He highlighted Ebonyi’s improved security, infrastructure, and overall stability under Governor Nwifuru’s leadership as key reasons for his company’s expansion.
“I There is a peaceful environment, enhanced security, and improved infrastructure under the Nwifuru-led administration.
“I commend the governor for creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, making Ebonyi a preferred investment destination,” he said.
According to him, the expansion will focus on assembling and selling tricycles, a move Iyiegbu believes will contribute to the state’s economic growth.
“As renowned businessmen, we cannot continue investing in other states while neglecting Ebonyi.
“One of our major partners is from Ebonyi, and we are committed to supporting the state government’s job creation efforts.
“This will be achieved through industrialisation and agro-business ventures,” Obi Cubana said.
He assured that preparations were already in motion and that significant progress would be visible in the coming months.
“Necessary preparations are underway to commence operations in earnest,” he added.
