Zelenskyy Leaves White House After Being ‘Kicked Out’ By Trump Following Tense Meeting

United States President Donald Trump reportedly asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to leave the White House after a tense and confrontational meeting in the Oval Office.

Following the meeting on Friday, February 28, Trump released a statement criticizing Zelenskyy for what he described as a lack of respect toward the U.S.

The US president accused his Ukrainian counterpart of being unwilling to pursue peace unless it involved continued American support.

Following the encounter, which turned into a heated exchange, Trump released a statement criticizing Zelenskyy for what he described as a lack of respect toward the U.S.

He suggested that talks between the two nations be paused, casting doubt on the future of American assistance to Ukraine as it continues its war with Russia.

We had a very meaningful meeting in the White House today. Much was learned that could never be understood without conversation under such fire and pressure,” Trump said.

It’s amazing what comes out through emotion, and I have determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved, because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations. I don’t want advantage, I want PEACE.

“He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for Peace.”

The exchange exposed serious disagreements between the two leaders over how to bring an end to the ongoing conflict.

President Trump pushed for an immediate ceasefire, arguing that stopping the violence was the best course of action.

“If you can get a ceasefire right now, I tell you, you take it—so the bullets stop flying and your men stop getting killed,” he urged, emphasizing the need to reduce bloodshed and limit U.S. financial involvement.

Zelenskyy, however, countered that a ceasefire alone would not be enough without solid U.S. security guarantees to prevent further Russian aggression.

Of course, we want to stop the war, but I want security guarantees,” he responded, pointing out that Ukraine’s ability to defend itself heavily relies on American support.

The discussion grew even more contentious when Vice President JD Vance accused Zelenskyy of showing a lack of gratitude, sparking a fiery response from Trump.

“You’re gambling with the lives of millions of people. You’re gambling with World War III,” Trump shouted. “And what you’re doing is very disrespectful to the country, this country.”

As tensions escalated, Zelenskyy rejected calls to make concessions to Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom he called a “killer.”

Trump dismissed his objections, bluntly warning, “Your country is in big trouble. You’re not winning this … You don’t have the cards,” and issuing an ultimatum: “You’re either going to make a deal or we’re out.”

Despite the heated exchange, Trump highlighted a rare earth minerals agreement set to be signed later that day, calling it a “fa very fair step forward.”

However, Zelenskyy made it clear that economic deals alone wouldn’t be enough without broader security commitments from the U.S.

Trump’s remarks after the meeting signaled a major shift in tone at a crucial moment in the war.

His accusations of disrespect appeared to stem from Zelenskyy’s firm stance against making concessions, including on NATO membership and territorial disputes—positions the Ukrainian leader has consistently refused to negotiate.
