“By 27, Get Married, Earn PhD, Or Leave My House'” – Kanayo Tells Daughter On 25th Birthday

Veteran Nollywood actor, Anayo Onyekwere, better known as Kanayo O. Kanayo, celebrated his daughter Valerie’s 25th birthday on social media.

In his birthday postl shared on Instagram, the actor praised his daughter and offered his blessings, but also made it clear that he has expectations for her future.

Kanayo O. Kanayo said that by the time she turns 27, she should either be married, working on a PhD, or living in her own house.

The actor also shared a personal memory, mentioning how Valerie used to complain about him being away from home too often due to work.

He explained that frequent travel is part of being a good and in-demand actor and expressed gratitude that he’s still active in the film industry.

Kanayo wrote, “My dear daughter, Uloaku( Bank/house of wealth) CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 25th birthday.

“Your issue with me has always been you are always travelling, hardly at home. Uloaku, GOOD ACTORS travel, always on the move because they are always HIRED. Thank God I am stil VERY ACTIVE and relevant. Try and tolerate me.

“In all these, please ensure that before 2027, you are either walking DOWN THE AISLE , GOING FOR YOUR PhD or walking out of my house. Simpliciter. Ka Chukwu Okike Abiama gozierem Uloaku.”

KanyiDaily also reported how Kanayo O. Kanayo playfully threatened his younger colleague, Toyin Abraham, during the Best of Nollywood Awards held in Ilorin, Kwara State.
