American reality star, Kim Kardashian has finally wrapped up her law studies after six years and marked the achievement with a backyard graduation party in Beverly Hills.
The 44-year-old reality star shared the news on Wednesday, May 21, posting behind-the-scenes clips of her celebration on Instagram.
Among the congratulatory messages she received was one from Ivanka Trump, daughter of the United States President Donald Trump.
During the event, Kim Kardashian stood at a podium, thanking those who supported her through her journey.
“All of you guys have been on this journey with me,” she told guests.
Kim Kardashian first spoke about her interest in law and prison reform back in 2019.
Rather than attending traditional law school—since she never completed college—she chose a legal apprenticeship in California.
This route allows individuals to study the law and eventually qualify for the state bar exam under the mentorship of a licensed attorney.
One of her mentors, attorney Jessica Jackson, praised her dedication saying, “Six years ago, Kim Kardashian walked into this program with nothing but a fierce desire to fight for justice.”
“No law school lectures, no ivory tower shortcuts, just determination and a mountain of case log books to read,” she said, noting that Kardashian dedicated, “18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year for six straight years.”
“That’s a total of 5,184 hours of legal study. That’s time she carved out while raising four children, running businesses, filming television shows and showing up in courtrooms to advocate for others.”
Kardashian passed California’s First-Year Law Students’ Exam—commonly known as the “baby bar”—on her fourth attempt in 2021.
While this marks a big step, she still needs to pass the full California Bar Exam before officially becoming a licensed attorney.
KanyiDaily recalls that Kim Kardashian recently broke down in tears while detailing the struggles of raising four kids with her ex-husband, Kanye West.
