Liverpool midfielder, Ryan Gravenberch has been named the 2024/25 Hublot Premier League Young Player of the Season, after a stellar year in which he played a key role in Liverpool’s title-winning campaign.

The Dutch international, who just turned 23, adapted brilliantly to a deeper midfield role under new manager Arne Slot. His performances have stood out across the league, particularly on the defensive side of the game.
He led all Premier League midfielders with 59 interceptions and was Liverpool’s top player for ball recoveries, winning possession 189 times—fifth-most in the entire league.
Ryan Gravenberch also ranked second in the squad for completed passes and was among the top three for tackles, duels, and minutes played.
Despite mainly being a defensive presence, he chipped in with four assists, showing his all-around value throughout the season.
His impact didn’t go unnoticed, earning him a spot on both the Young Player and EA SPORTS Player of the Season shortlists, making him the only player to appear on both. Mohamed Salah ultimately took home the main Player of the Season honor.
Gravenberch won the Young Player award after a combination of fan votes and input from a panel of football experts. He beat out strong competition from nominees like Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, William Saliba, Liam Delap, Dean Huijsen, Morgan Rogers, and Anthony Elanga.
He now becomes the second Liverpool player to win this award since its introduction in the 2019/20 season, following in the footsteps of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Meanwhile, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah was also crowned the Premier League Player of the Season, marking the second time he’s received the honor.
