Ayra Starr, Beats Tyla, Rema, Black Sherif To Win Best International Act At BET Awards 2025

Nigerian singer, Ayra Starr has scored a major win at the 2025 BET Awards, taking home the Best International Act title.

The Nigerian star faced strong competition from other top global artists, including Tyla from South Africa, Ghana’s Black Sherif, and fellow Nigerian singer Rema.

Ayra Starr has been gaining recognition from BET for a few years now. She was nominated for Best New International Act in 2022, then again for Best International Act in 2023.

In 2024, her hit “Commas” earned her a BET Her Award nomination. And in 2025, she earned nods in three big categories: Best New Artist, Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, and Best International Act, eventually winning the latter.
