Dr. Mkor Aondona, a Special Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Documentation, Research, and Planning, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of sextortion, blackmail, and cyberbullying.

It was gathered that Dr. Mkor Aondona was arrested on Friday, June 20, 2025, in Makurdi, following complaints from several female students.
The young women accused Aondona of targeting them with sexually exploitative behavior under the guise of offering ushering jobs.
A statement from EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale said the complainants alleged that Aondona selected slim and attractive girls for event ushering roles but demanded sexual favours as a condition for hiring them.
Oyewale said the victims claimed he secretly filmed their sexual encounters without their consent and used those recordings to manipulate and pressure them into continuing the relationship.
The statement read, “Operatives of the Makurdi Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Benue State on Documentation, Research, and Planning, Dr. Mkor Aondona for alleged sextortion and cyberbullying.
“He was arrested on Friday, June 20, 2025, in Makurdi following claims of some female students accusing the governor’s aide of unethical and criminal behaviour involving sexual exploitation, cyber bullying and blackmail.
“The petitioners alleged that Aondona was routinely recruiting slim and attractive girls for ushering jobs and insisted on sexual favours as a condition for selection. Based on this, they became vulnerable to having sexual affairs with him but unknown to them, he had videos of every sexual act without their consent and was always threatening to leak the videos if they refused to continue having sex with him.”
Oyewale added that the situation escalated when some of the videos were allegedly shared on social media without the victims’ knowledge.
“Aondona was also alleged to be involved in blackmail—sending explicit videos of the girls allegedly recorded without their knowledge or consent through several messaging platforms. Some of the videos are said to be in circulation, ” he said.
The commission confirmed that investigations are ongoing and that Dr. Aondona will face charges once the case has been fully processed.
KanyiDaily recalls that the EFCC recently arrested Moses Thomas Sule, the former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, along with 14 other former lawmakers for fleeing with official cars.
