The protesters voiced their anger over an attempt to impose candidates for positions across the 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the state.

The aggrieved APC members also called for the removal of the party’s state chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi.

Protesters, said to be delegates from all 57 council areas in Lagos, showed up in large numbers, chanting slogans and holding placards with messages like “Ojelabi Must Go” and “We Want Fresh Leadership.”

He assured them that the matter is internal and would be handled within the party’s structure.
