A police inspector, Donfa Chirtip has been killed, and his wife, Victoria, abducted by gunmen at Kurmin Kare in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Security expert Zagazola Makama said Inspector Donfa, who was attached to the Special Protection Unit Base 7 in Abuja, was attacked on Friday while returning from his farm with his wife.
According to Makama, the officer’s body was later found on a farmland in the area with a deep cut to his neck.
He further stated that security teams quickly moved to the scene after receiving the alert.
“The deceased, identified as Inspector Donfa Chirtip of the Special Protection Unit Base 7, Abuja, was discovered lifeless on Friday evening with a deep cut on his neck in a farmland within the village. Joint patrol teams swiftly moved to the scene, where the officer’s body was found.
“Preliminary investigation suggests that the inspector and his wife, Mrs. Victoria Chirtip, had gone to the farm earlier in the morning around 7:00 a.m. on a motorcycle.”
“They were believed to have been ambushed by unknown assailants on their way back in the evening,” Makama wrote.
Inspector Donfa’s body was taken to Doka General Hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead and placed his remains in the morgue.
Efforts are ongoing to locate his missing wife and track down those responsible for the attack.
