British singer Lily Allen has spoken about her reproductive history, revealing that she doesn’t remember exactly how many abortions she’s had.
Speaking on an episode of her podcast “Miss Me?”, the 40-year-old disclosed that she used to “get pregnant all the time” and had multiple abortions during that period.
“I’d get pregnant all the time, all the time,” Allen said. “Abortions, I’ve had a few, but then again, I can’t remember exactly how many … I think maybe like, I want to say four or five.”
Her co-host, Miquita Oliver, responded by saying she’s also had about five abortions.
“Lily, I’m so happy I can say that and you can say it and no one came to shoot us down, no judgment. We’ve had about the same amount of abortions,” Oliver said.
Lily Allen also reflected on how her views about one past experience have changed over time.
She recalled a moment when someone she was involved with paid for her abortion, and at the time, she thought it was a romantic gesture.
“I remember once getting pregnant and the man paying for my abortion, and me thinking it was so romantic,” she said.
Looking back, she now sees it differently. “I don’t think it’s generous or romantic,” she said, noting that the man never checked in with her afterward.
Being honest about her past, Lily Allen added, “Fair [to be honest], I was a f***en crazy b****, still am.”
Allen is a mother of two daughters, Ethel, 12, and Marnie, 11, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Sam Cooper. The couple were married from 2011 until their separation in 2018.
