Panic As Abuja–Kaduna Train Goes Off Track

A passenger train heading from Abuja to Kaduna derailed on Tuesday morning, sparking fear among travelers and their families.

The incident happened along the Kaduna corridor not long after the train left Abuja around 11 a.m.

One passenger described the atmosphere as chaotic, saying many people rushed out in panic, not knowing what was happening.

The exact cause of the derailment has yet to be determined, and so far, there are no confirmed reports of injuries or deaths.

Security sources said soldiers were quickly deployed to the scene to help evacuate stranded passengers.

As of the time of filing this report, the Nigerian Railway Corporation has not released a statement on the incident.

KanyiDaily recalls that in 2023, many passengers were left stranded when the Abuja-Kaduna train derailed at Kubwa.
