It was gathered that the content creator was allegedly kidnapped by gunmen on Wednesday while he was live streaming.
A video from the stream captured the moment Peller was saying: “You dey carry gun, Ogun wan kill you? Calm down jor. Na who you come dey point gun for?”
One of the men then replied: “Na me you dey follow me the tok like that? I say make you calm down, you dey follow me dey tok anyhow.”
The exchange suggested there was a struggle between Peller and the armed men before the livestream ended.
Shortly after, someone at the scene was heard saying the tiktoker had been taken away to an undisclosed location.
The attackers’ faces were not visible in the video.
The video quickly went viral online, with many Nigerians debating whether the incident was real or just another skit. Some fans, however, expressed deep concern for Peller’s safety.
Another TikToker, Jidex Klothing, confirmed the abduction, explaining that Peller had gone out to buy food when he was stopped and taken away.
“He went to buy food, then on his way back home, those people told him to stop and he stopped. Luckily, he was even online,” Jidex said.
But in a new development on Thursday morning, Peller’s colleague and friend, Sandra Benede, announced that he had been rescued.
In a live video, Sandra revealed that the police had found him and that he was currently with the Divisional Police Officer (DPO).
“They have seen him. DPO has seen him. They never give details but they have seen him,” Sandra said.
KanyiDaily recalls that Peller recently opened up about why he left Islam and chose to follow Christianity.
