Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air Actor, Floyd Roger Myers Jr Dies At 42

Former child actor Floyd Roger Myers Jr., best known for his role in “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” has died at the age of 42 after years of battling heart problems.

According to TMZ, Floyd Roger Myers Jr died at his home in Maryland on Wednesday morning following a heart attack.

His mother, Renee Trice, confirmed the news, revealing that she had spoken with him the night before his death.

Trice also revealed that her son had suffered three heart attacks in the past three years as he continued to struggle with ongoing health issues.

In a GoFundMe post created to support funeral costs and assist his children, Myers’ sister, Tyree Trice, described him as a “devoted father, loving brother, and friend whose kindness, laughter, and warmth touched everyone he met.”

“Roger leaves behind his four beautiful children — Taelyn, Kinsley, Tyler, and Knox — and our loving family is now facing the unimaginable loss of someone who meant everything to us,” she wrote.

Myers began his acting career in 1992, appearing as Young Will in an episode of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”.

He later portrayed Marlon Jackson in ABC’s miniseries “The Jacksons: An American Dream”, alongside stars like Angela Bassett, Vanessa Williams, and Billy Dee Williams.

His last credited screen appearance was in a 2000 episode of “Young Americans”, a teen drama series that aired on The WB.

Outside of acting, Myers co-founded “The Fellowship Men’s Group”, an organization dedicated to helping men “lead, heal, and thrive.”

The group honored him in a heartfelt Instagram post, promising to continue its mission in his memory.

“RIP to our good brother @rocwonder one of our co founders. Gone but never will be forgotten. The mission will continue in your honor,” the statement read.

Floyd Roger Myers Jr also owned “Dr. Duct”, a business specializing in air duct and dryer vent cleaning.
