The violence is said to have started when Prince Victor came to the community to celebrate the New Yam Festival with his parents.
Prince Victor described the ordeal, saying the attackers physically assaulted him and poured urine and other filth on him.
He added that the youths humiliated his family by stripping his mother half-naked, and that the king himself was also attacked.
Speaking on the incident, Oba Bakare condemned the assault, describing it as continuation of “unprovoked hostility” from a group of youths in the town.
He described the attack as “barbaric and unfortunate” but praised the quick response from the Nigeria Police and Amotekun Corps for preventing the situation from getting worse.
DSP Olusola Ayanlade, the Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Police Command, confirmed the report in a phone interview with Channels Television.
He said, “Yes, there was an attack reported in Idogun community. The case is under investigation, and we are leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that justice is served.”
Meanwhile, Ogun monarch, Oba Akintunde Akinyemi, has urged authorities to arrest social media personality Mandy Kiss, over her plan to set a Guinness World Record by having sex with 100 men in one day.
