Samuel Ortom Consoles Senator Abba Moro Over Death Of His Son And Grandson

Former Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has expressed his condolences to the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, following the tragic deaths of his son and grandson.

It was gathered that Senator Abba Moro, who represents Benue South Senatorial District (Zone C), lost his son and grandson within a span of 48 hours.

Reports say his son, Victor Moro, had just returned from Turkey after completing his studies and was preparing to serve under the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) when he died in a car accident. His death came barely two days after that of his 10-year-old grandson, Aba Moro Junior.

In a statement issued by his media aide, Terver Akase, Ortom described the incident as a deeply painful double tragedy that words can hardly express.

The former governor said the loss of two family members in such a short time was beyond comprehension.

He particularly lamented “that the death of Victor Moro, a young man full of promise who had just completed his studies in Turkey and returned home to serve his country under the National Youth Service Corps, only for his life to be cut short in a fatal motor accident is especially devastating.”

Ortom noted that the deaths had not only thrown the Moro family into mourning but also brought sorrow to friends, associates, and all who know Senator Moro as a dedicated public servant.

“This is indeed a moment of deep pain and sorrow for my brother and friend, Senator Abba Moro. No words are enough to console a father in this kind of situation.

“My heart goes out to him and the entire family. I pray that God, in His infinite mercy, will comfort them and grant the souls of the departed eternal rest,” he said,

The ex-governor also prayed that God would strengthen Senator Moro and his family, giving them the courage to bear this painful loss.

KanyiDaily also reported that Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe recently lost her mother, Abisola Grace Owodunni.
