The actress shared the experience on her Instagram page, revealing that she woke up feeling numb and unable to sense parts of her body, a moment that left her frightened and confused.
Despite the warning signs, the actress said she went ahead with her plans for the day, heading to her shop to take stock and interview potential staff.
Sarah Martins explained that it was during these activities that she collapsed and was rushed to the hospital for urgent medical care.
According to her, more than 30 medical checks were done, including tests for cancer, fibroids, kidney and liver issues, malaria, and typhoid. All the results came back clear.
Sarah said she is currently receiving treatment and recovering, adding that doctors told her she is suffering from severe exhaustion and needs complete rest.
She wrote, “Woke up today and couldn’t feel any part of my body. For a second, I felt lifeless. I still struggled and went to my stores to do inventory and a few interviews for incoming employees, and that was when I slumped.
“All through December, I worked every single day, and even when my staff travelled for the season celebration, I still kept working. No days off, no stretches, no nothing… just a walking corps working tirelessly to cater for others, forgetting myself.
“I did over 32 tests today, and all came out negative, including cancer, fibroid, liver, kidney, malaria, typhoid, etc. I guess God took proper care of my organs while I neglected my body.
“I am typing this from a sick bed, but I will be fine because the God that protects the vulnerable kids I struggle for will never fail me.
“They said I’m extremely exhausted and need proper bed rest. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for your constant protection over my life.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Sarah Martins recently accused Lagos governemnt officials of harassing her while she was distributing food to people on a street in Lekki.
