The Trump Gold Card is part of a new immigration programme launched under the Trump administration.
The initiative is designed for wealthy foreigners, offering quicker access to permanent residency and eventual citizenship in return for a contribution of about $1 million to the US government, along with additional processing fees.
Nicki Minaj, however, claimed she did not pay for the card.
She disclosed this on Wednesday in a post on X, where she shared an image of the gold-coloured card and hinted that her citizenship paperwork was already being processed.
The rapper praised Trump and thanked her supporters who backed a petition, suggesting their efforts helped move the process forward.
“Residency? Residency? The cope is coping. Finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak as per MY wonderful, gracious, charming President. Thanks to the petition. I wouldn’t have done it without you.
“Oh CitizenNIKA you are thee moment. Gold Trump card free of charge,” she wrote.
The announcement came shortly after Nicki Minaj openly declared her support for Trump.
She recently described herself as one of his strongest supporters and publicly defended his policies despite criticism online.
Nicki Minaj was born in Trinidad and Tobago and has lived in the United States for many years.
She has previously said she holds legal permanent resident status but is not yet a US citizen.
Her political stance and claims about the Trump Gold Card have since sparked mixed reactions and ongoing debate across social media platforms.
KanyiDaily recalls that Nicki Minaj recently expressed appreciation after President Donald Trump declared Nigeria a “country of particular concern” due to alleged religious persecution.
