EFCC Reacts As Nigerian Man Post Its Abuja Office As Hotel For Sale

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reacted to a viral social media post in which a Nigerian man listed its Abuja headquarters as a hotel for sale.

Taking to X, a verified user identified as @osere_x shared a photo of the EFCC building and advertised it as a hotel located in Abuja.

The man stated that the property was selling for N800 million, with an additional N120 million as an agent fee.

“HOTEL AVAILABLE. Location: Abuja. Price – 800M. Agent fee – 120M. Only serious buyers should DM,” @osere_x write.

The post went viral, recording hundreds of reposts and replies, thousands of likes, and over 400,000 views.

The EFCC later responded on its page, saying: “Hmmm… You get mind ooo,” suggesting that the user was bold for making such a claim.

The reply quickly drew more reactions and further increased engagement on the post.

KanyiDaily recalls that the EFCC recently arraigned Kavlak Onal, an Austrian national, for allegedly failing to declare large sums of foreign currency at Lagos Airport.
